From Times Wire Reports
Three boys expelled from the prestigious Milton Academy struck a deal with prosecutors in Quincy to avoid jail time on statutory rape charges involving a 15-year-old girl.
The 17-year-old boys must serve two years of pretrial probation, after which the criminal charges will be dropped if they stay out of trouble, said Kevin Bowe, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office. No pleas were entered.
Authorities had said the girl was not capable of giving consent because she was younger than 16.
