Krispy Kreme Has Loss as Revenue Declines

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. said it had a net loss in the fiscal first quarter as revenue declined 17%.

Sales fell to about $153 million, Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Krispy Kreme said in a preliminary earnings statement in a regulatory filing. Krispy Kreme delayed reporting full results for the quarter because it hasn’t yet restated past earnings.
