Man, Woman Found Stabbed to Death in Apartment
A 51-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman were found stabbed to death in a Crenshaw district apartment Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The bodies were discovered in the 3900 block of Coco Avenue shortly before 2 p.m., about three hours after residents reported hearing screaming in the area, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said.
Police said the bodies were discovered by the woman’s daughter, who called paramedics.
Police hope to question a woman who was seen in the vicinity of the apartment and who is described as the granddaughter of the female victim. The woman, whom police called a “person of interest” and not a suspect, was seen leaving with her children, ages 2, 4 and 5.
The killings are being investigated by the LAPD’s Southwest Division.
