$6 Million in Drugs Confiscated; 2 Men Held
A raid on a townhouse netted two suspects and 801 pounds of drugs with an estimated street value of $6 million, authorities said Wednesday.
Investigators from the Drug Enforcement Administration raided the residence on North Clemson Drive on Tuesday and arrested Jesus Thomas, 36, and Rosendo Castro-Chidez, 24. The men were charged in federal court Wednesday with conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute.
Authorities found 737 pounds of cocaine and 64 pounds of crystal methamphetamine.
Officials said the men were part of an organization that imports drugs from Mexico for resale in the U.S.
