Not liking this French connection

SUSAN SPANO’S article “The Allure of a French Connection” [Her World, Feb. 27] could have been headed either “Many are called but few are countessed” or “I didn’t come here to be humiliated! Where do you usually go?” It left me wondering why it appeared in the Travel section of a family newspaper.
Given that Paris can be a rich source of material for travel writers, why do you allow Spano to open her veins for us with content like this? Readers of both sexes and of a range of ages look for interesting articles about travel in -- where else? -- the Travel section.
In the future, please exercise editorial judgment and ask Spano to stop trashing French society and culture.
