Wet Seal Inc., a clothing retailer with 402 stores in 47 states, said Executive Vice President Joseph Deckop, who served as interim chief executive until January, had resigned.
Deckop is leaving Wet Seal to pursue other interests, the Foothill Ranch-based company said. Spokeswoman Helen Rotherham didn’t immediately return a call to her office.
Deckop was interim chief executive from November to January after the resignation of Peter Whitford. Former Wilsons The Leather Experts Inc. Chief Executive Joel Waller took over as Wet Seal CEO on Feb. 1.
Shares of Wet Seal fell 8 cents to $3.37 on Nasdaq.
