Cybill Shepherd, who already played Martha Stewart in one TV movie, is going to play the homemaking guru again in a new film for CBS that will cover her trial and prison term.

The new endeavor, tentatively titled “Martha,” will be shot in Toronto. CBS formally announced the project Thursday but did not say when it will air.

In May 2003, Shepherd starred in “Martha, Inc.: The Story of Martha Stewart,” a biographical drama for NBC that wound up being the highest-rated TV movie of the 2002-03 season.

That film covered the allegations against her of insider trading, but the new one will go further, depicting not only the trial but also Stewart’s five-month internment at Alderson Federal Prison, culminating with her release earlier this month.
