Lakers Are Falling and They Can’t Get Up

Kobe didn’t really choose the Lakers over the Clippers, he just turned the Lakers into the Clippers.

Look at the bright side, Laker fans. At least the weather in Los Angeles is nice in May and June when the Lakers will be home for the playoffs.

I’m a lifelong Laker fan, but I said to myself, “I’m going to ban myself from watching the Lakers for the rest of the season if they lose tonight” against Atlanta many weeks ago. Well, they lost.
I’m enjoying not having to have heart attacks and gut-wrenching feelings while watching them anymore. My stress level has been reduced.

I don’t blame Laker management for trading Shaq -- I would have traded him a year earlier. No, I blame them for what they got, or what they didn’t get: They didn’t get an All-Star for Shaquille O’Neal. They didn’t get one of the top 20 players in the NBA. That’s unbelievable. That’s incompetent. They’ve sunk the franchise. They should fall on their swords.

Trade away a star player, refuse to rehire Coach Phil Jackson, and watch your team fall out of the playoffs. I guess Jerry Buss has more in common with Jerry Reinsdorf than their common first name.

I must need a brush-up on my spelling rules. Why is there no “i” in Kobe?
