Abbas Is Unhurt in Attack on Headquarters

Palestinian militants fired at the West Bank headquarters of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas while he was in the compound, but he was not injured, security officials said.
The half-dozen assailants, who also rampaged in restaurants in Ramallah, identified themselves as breakaway members of Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade who rejected a request to lay down their arms.
