Councilman’s Son Faces Rape, Beating Charges

The son of the Oakland City Council president has been charged in the beating and rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Ignacio Rafael De La Fuente, 32, turned himself in Friday. His father is a mayoral candidate. “I pray and hope he has done nothing wrong,” said Ignacio De La Fuente. “But if he is responsible, he is an adult and must take responsibility.”
