From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The union representing L.A. police officers agreed to pay $98,000 in fines to the city Ethics Commission for campaign finance violations in support of City Council candidates Dennis Zine and Kenneth Hillman in the 2001 election, according to documents released Thursday.
