Bomb in Christian Town Kills Woman, Wounds 7
From Times Wire Reports
A bomb killed a woman and wounded seven people in a Christian port town north of Beirut on the eve of the return of opposition leader Gen. Michel Aoun from 15 years in exile.
The explosion, the fifth to target the country’s Christian heartland in two months, damaged shops, houses and a church three weeks before general elections.
A security source said the bomb was placed inside an abandoned house in Jounieh and brought down stone walls, set a small fire and shattered windows in surrounding streets.
