Visitation, Services Set for Slain Family

Visitation and funeral services for six members of a Riverside County family killed in a murder-suicide last week will be open to the public, the Riverside County district attorney announced Monday.

Visitation for David McGowan and his family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Palm Springs Mortuary, 69-855 E. Ramon Road in Cathedral City, and funeral services are scheduled at Southwest Community Church, 77-701 Fred Waring Drive, in Indian Wells, on Thursday at 10 a.m.

A fund to assist McGowan’s surviving son, Shane Kibbee, has been arranged by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Assn., 6215 Rivercrest Drive, Suite A, Riverside, 92507.
