Nigel Kennedy’s violins pilfered

Three custom-made electric violins were stolen from jazz musician Nigel Kennedy’s tour bus after a concert in Liverpool this week, the BBC reports.
The instruments were made in the colors of the Aston Villa soccer team for which Kennedy roots -- which gave him extra reason to worry.
“I am extremely upset,” Kennedy said. “These violins were custom made and will be very difficult to replace. I also fear for their safety if a [rival] Birmingham City fan ever got their hands on them.”
