Teenage Driver Is Held After Police Chase
An 18-year-old man was arrested late Wednesday after leading police on a chase in an allegedly stolen car that collided with two vehicles, police said.
Melchor Mendoza of Buena Park was being held without bail at Orange County Jail after being booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property, felony vehicle pursuit, hit and run, resisting arrest, driving on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The chase occurred shortly after 11 p.m. near Lincoln and Valley View avenues. Mendoza ran away after crashing into two cars before he was arrested, police said.
