American May Seek Further Labor Cost Cuts

American Airlines’ pilots said they would explore ways to reduce costs and boost productivity in an effort to help the carrier avoid Bankruptcy Court.

The board of the Allied Pilots Assn. said it based its decision Wednesday on data that showed another financial reorganization of the Fort Worth-based carrier was “highly probable.”
