America’s sweetheart, Hilary Duff, celebrated her 18th birthday by taking over the nightclub Mood on Sept. 28 and treating her guests to a Moroccan-themed paradise, including fortunetellers, henna artists and even a handwriting analyst. Among those who enjoyed the teen queen’s b-day cake were Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden, songwriter Diane Warren, Jennie Garth, Bruce Willis, Michael Keaton and Jesse Metcalf and celebutante Constantine Maroulis.

Metcalf also hopped over to Hollywood’s LAX, where supermodel Amber Vallata was hosting a party for Epoch Jeans. Among the style council were Marlon and Sean Wayans, Carolyn Murphy, Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson.

Ashlee Simpson celebrated her 21st birthday Saturday at the Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where she performed for such pals as Wilmer Valderrama and big sis Jessica.... We popped into the Santa Monica blues club Harvelle’s, and owner Cevin Clark announced that he’s gearing up to open a Harvelle’s in Sin City with pal Zalman King, the producer-director behind Bravo’s “Forty Deuce.”

Vegan lovers are heading to Jade Cafe, a new Silver Lake joint celebrating all things raw.... Night owls are converging on Honey, a new late-night Hollywood bistro where DJ Morty’s spinning the tune-age.

We recently reported that Nic’s & the Martini Lounge in Beverly Hills is offering 25-cent martinis all month from 6 to 8 p.m. Owner Larry Nicola wants folks to know that the offer applies only to the first cocktail.

Freebie alert: The hipster band Sign of the Fox starts a Thursday night residency tonight at Hollywood’s Three Club.... Wayne Kramer of MC5 fame played guest DJ on Sunday at Hollywood’s Beauty Bar, where a benefit for the New Orleans Hospitality Workers Relief Fund was in effect. Rockers Texas Terri and Motochrist are headlining a Red Cross benefit at Dragonfly on Oct. 12.... And speaking of Rocktober, women of a certain age are still swooning over Robert Plant’s Wiltern LG gig on Saturday, where the uber-star blazed through such hits as “Going to California” and “Whole Lotta Love.”
