KUDOS to Joss Whedon, David Lester and Jack Green for their efforts to film “Serenity” in Los Angeles [“Down-Home Directing,” Oct. 9]. They have proven producers and union craftspersons can work together to bring production back from abroad. Whedon showed real guts convincing Universal Studios he could shoot a 100-day picture in about half that time. Bravo!
