Re “Aid Plan for O.C. Tollway
Unveiled,” Oct. 14
The toll roads have been one financial misadventure after another. The proposed Foothill South toll road is simply a bad idea. It will ruin a large portion of San Onofre State Beach to accommodate a road that few people will use.
If the Transportation Corridor Agencies is having financial troubles now, building this road will only make them worse. The TCA would be wise to abandon the Foothill South tollway and work on fixing the ailing roads it already has.
