Update -- Francisco Palencia and Juan Pablo Garcia, Chivas USA’s refuerzos, or reinforcements, make their home debut tonight in the franchise’s first game against Columbus. Chivas has tied in the two road games in which Palencia and Garcia have played. The team announced that defender Hector Castro suffered a torn left knee ligament during warmups last week against the MetroStars and would miss the rest of the season. Forward Matt Taylor, out for three weeks because of a hernia, will be available. Columbus, coming off a 1-0 victory over the Kansas City Wizards last Friday, is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, 12 points from the final playoff spot.
