Thief Steals SUV With Toddler Inside
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Police were searching Sunday for an 18-month-old child who was in the back seat of an SUV stolen from a gas station at 17312 Foothill Blvd. The mother of Noah Leano, who was wearing a red jumper, had stopped to put air in the tires when a man jumped behind the wheel and drove away, according to a police spokeswoman.
The 1:24 p.m. incident triggered an Amber alert, which asked the public to be on the lookout for a white 2000 Ford Expedition with the license plate 5JYA780.
