Grading Class on Curve
In today’s world, we have become accustomed to hearing cliche phrases such as “world-class” that when we hear it, it rarely describes the truth. Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich described the Coliseum as a “world-class facility for a world-class football team [the Saints].”
What has Antonovich been smoking? World-class means the best, state of the art, modern. The Coliseum is despicable, the Rose Bowl isn’t far behind and the Saints are run-of-the-mill as NFL franchises go. You want world-class? See Qwest Field in Seattle.
