Fatally Wounded Man Drives Onto Campus

A man wounded by gunfire drove a vehicle through the fence of an elementary school Thursday and later died at a hospital, authorities said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, crashed into the parking lot of Nelson Elementary School about 3 p.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Tania Plunkett. It was unknown whether children were still in school, she said.
