Female Suicide Bomber Dies in Mosque Blast
A female suicide bomber was killed and a companion was injured at a mosque in Turkey’s Black Sea city of Ordu when a bomb they were carrying blew up, police said.
Two other people were also injured in the blast in the restroom of a Koran teaching facility, next to the mosque, the semiofficial Anatolian news agency reported.
CNN Turk quoted Ridvan Guler, a local security chief, as saying that there were two “women terrorists” and that one had died in the blast and the other was injured and arrested.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
