Snoop Dogg was released on bail Thursday after a fracas over access to a first-class lounge at England’s Heathrow Airport, which injured seven police officers, his lawyer said.

The 34-year-old rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was driven away from the airport’s police station, police said. They did not give details of five men arrested with him.

London’s Metropolitan Police said officers responded late Wednesday to reports of a disturbance involving 30 people at British Airways’ first-class lounge. The airline said it denied Snoop and his party entry because some were flying first class while others were flying economy. They became “rude and abusive,” a spokesman said, and police were summoned. Fighting ensued.

The six men were arrested on charges of “violent disorder and affray” -- or creating a brawl or disturbance -- and spent the night at London police stations. Police said all those arrested were U.S. citizens in their 30s.

Snoop’s performance in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday will be rescheduled, but others set for the weekend will go on as planned, his attorney said.
