As of Friday, the Department of Defense reported a total of 2,674 American military deaths as a result of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The department last week identified the following troops killed in both countries:

Clayton L. Adamkavicius, 43, of Fairdale, Ky.; captain, Army National Guard. Adamkavicius was training Afghan troops when he was killed by small-arms fire April 21 while investigating a weapons cache in central Afghanistan’s Oruzgan province. He was assigned to the 149th Brigade, 35th Infantry Division, Army National Guard in Louisville, Ky.

Jacob H. Allcott, 21, of Caldwell, Idaho; private first class, Army. Allcott was among four soldiers killed April 22 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad, causing the vehicle to catch fire. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 67th Armored Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Metodio A. Bandonill, 29, of Honolulu; staff sergeant, Army. Bandonill was killed Monday when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Michael E. Bouthot, 19, of Fall River, Mass.; private, Army. Bouthot was among four soldiers killed April 22 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad, causing the vehicle to catch fire. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 67th Armored Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Kyle A. Colnot, 23, of Arcadia; sergeant, Army. Colnot was among four soldiers killed April 22 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad, causing the vehicle to catch fire. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 67th Armored Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Jason B. Daniel, 21, of Fort Worth; corporal, Army. Daniel was among three soldiers killed April 23 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Robert W. Ehney, 26, of Lexington, Ky.; sergeant, Army. Ehney was among three soldiers killed April 23 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Michael L. Ford, 19, of New Bedford, Mass.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Ford was killed Wednesday when the tank he was driving struck a roadside bomb in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Raymond L. Henry, 21, of Anaheim; private first class, Army. Henry was killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee in Mosul, Iraq, northwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska.

Richard J. Herrema, 27, of Jackson, Tenn.; sergeant first class, Army. Herrema was killed by small-arms fire Tuesday in Baghdad. He was assigned to the Army Special Operations Command at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Eric D. King, 29, of Vancouver, Wash.; specialist, Army. King was among four soldiers killed April 22 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad, causing the vehicle to catch fire. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 67th Armored Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Shawn T. Lasswell Jr., 21, of Reno; corporal, Army. Lasswell was among three soldiers killed April 23 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Eric R. Lueken, 23, of Dubois, Ind.; corporal, Marine Corps. Lueken was killed April 22 by an improvised explosive device while in a convoy in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Jason C. Ramseyer, 28, of Lenoir, N.C.; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. Ramseyer was killed April 20 by an improvised explosive device while in a convoy in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Aaron W. Simons, 20, of Modesto; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Simons was killed Monday when two rockets struck his base in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Travis C. Zimmerman, 19, of New Berlinville, Pa.; private, Army. Zimmerman was killed April 22 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his observation post in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.
