County Will Fight Judge on Property Takeover

County supervisors on Tuesday authorized county attorneys to file objections to a Superior Court judge’s ruling this week that favored a developer alleging that the county improperly took its land for a flood control project in Upland.
Judge Christopher J. Warner’s tentative decision found that the county forfeited rights to a disputed 67-acre drainage basin through deceit in dealing with Colonies Partners.
If the decision stands, the developer could demand that the county reimburse it for the land.
