National Guardsmen on Alert for Ernesto
From Times Wire Reports
North and South Carolina put hundreds of National Guardsmen on standby for fear the rainy remnants of Tropical Storm Ernesto could cause severe flooding today and Friday.
Forecasters said Ernesto could drench the states with up to 7 inches of rain. The storm weakened to a tropical depression while crawling north through Florida.
