The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan and Iraq:

Joshua C. Burrows, 20, of Bossier City, La.; private, Army. Burrows was among three soldiers killed Nov. 26 when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

James R. Davenport, 20, of Danville, Ind.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Davenport was killed Nov. 22 when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Jeannette T. Dunn, 44, of the Bronx, N.Y.; sergeant, Army. Dunn died of a noncombat-related injury Nov. 26 in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. She was assigned to the 15th Sustainment Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

David M. Fraser, 25, of Houston; first lieutenant, Army. Fraser was among three soldiers killed Nov. 26 when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Nathan J. Goodiron, 25, of Mandaree, N.D.; corporal, Army National Guard. Goodiron was killed Nov. 23 when his unit was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire in Qarabagh, Afghanistan, north of Kabul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 188th Air Defense Artillery, Army National Guard in Grand Forks, N.D.

Jason R. Hamill, 31, of New Haven, Conn.; captain, Army. Hamill was among three soldiers killed Nov. 26 when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Benjamin D. Keating, 27, of Shapleigh, Maine; first lieutenant, Army. Keating was killed Nov. 26 in a truck accident in Kamdesh, Afghanistan, northeast of Kabul. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment (Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Target Acquisition), 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Chris Kleinwachter, 29, of Wahpeton, N.D.; specialist, Army. Kleinwachter was killed Thursday when his vehicle overturned in Ghazni, Afghanistan, southeast of Kabul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 188th Air Defense Artillery in Grand Forks, N.D.

Michael C. Ledsome, 24, of Austin, Texas; corporal, Marine Corps. Ledsome was killed in combat Nov. 25 in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jonerik Loney, 21, of Hartselle, Ala.; corporal, Army. Loney was killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle in Hit, Iraq, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany.

Scott B. Lundell, 35, of Hurricane, Utah; second lieutenant, Army National Guard. Lundell was killed Nov. 25 when his unit was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire in central Afghanistan’s Oruzgan province. He was assigned to the 1st Corps Artillery, Army National Guard at Camp Williams, Utah.

Christopher E. Mason, 32, of Mobile, Ala.; specialist Army. Mason was killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee and his unit was attacked with small-arms fire in Bayji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Reece D. Moreno, 19, of Prescott, Ariz.; private, Army. Moreno died in a noncombat-related incident Nov. 24 in Balad, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 92nd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Daniel M. Morris, 28, of Clinton, Tenn.; staff sergeant, Army. Morris was killed Nov. 25 when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle in Al Judiah, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Jeremy W. Mulhair, 35, of Omaha; staff sergeant, Army. Mulhair was killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

James D. Priestap, 39, of Hardwood, Mich.; sergeant first class, Army National Guard. Priestap was shot to death Nov. 23 at a checkpoint in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 46th Military Police Company, Army National Guard in Kingsford, Mich.

Nicholas P. Rapavi, 22, of Springfield, Va.; corporal, Marine Corps. Rapavi was shot to death Nov. 24 in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jeffrey G. Roberson, 22, of Phelan, Calif.; specialist, Army. Roberson was one of two soldiers killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Logar, Afghanistan, south of Kabul. He was assigned to the 230th Military Police Company, 95th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Michael A. Schwarz, 20, of Carlstadt, N.J.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Schwarz was killed by a sniper Monday in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Michael A. Shank, 31 of Bonham, Texas; staff sergeant, Army. Shank was one of two soldiers killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Logar, Afghanistan, south of Kabul. He was assigned to the 230th Military Police Company, 95th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Heath D. Warner, 19, of Canton, Ohio; private, Marine Corps. Warner was killed Nov. 22 when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Donovan E. Watts, 46, of Atlanta; command sergeant major, Army. Watts died Nov. 21 in Bayji, Iraq, of injuries suffered when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee in Siniya, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Jeromy D. West, 20, of Aguanga, Calif.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. West was killed by a sniper Nov. 25 in Iraq’s Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Theodore M. West, 23, of Richmond, Ky.; private first class, Army. West was killed Wednesday when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.
