The Legacy of a Playboy

Share

I usually read Dan Neil’s columns, but it disappointed me to read his ditty on his interview with Hugh Hefner (“Rake’s Progress,” 800 Words, Nov. 12). In his nostalgia for the good old days with respect to Playboy magazine, may I remind Neil that the vehicle for bringing us thoughtful and enlightening articles of yore was the exploitation and dehumanization of women on a mass scale in glossy rags.

It saddens me that Neil thought it was such an honor to interview this sexist man, who built his greedy empire on our backs, so to speak. I thought better of him.
