Inmate is sought after leaving work crew
From Times Staff Reports
A 28-year-old man in jail for writing a bad check and being on drugs was missing Monday after walking away from a jail work crew in Brea, officials said.
Saul Dimla, an inmate at the James A. Musick Branch Jail, was assigned to work on a flood-control channel when authorities discovered him missing about 11:50 a.m.
An Orange County sheriff’s spokesman said work crew escapes are rare.
