Intruder’s stabber is identified as ex-officer

The watchman who stabbed an intruder at the mansion of celebrity fitness trainer Gunnar Peterson is a former police officer awaiting trial on charges that he lied and created false documents to become a security guard, police and prosecutors said Tuesday.
Michael Buchanan, a former LAPD officer, was named in court documents as the security guard who stabbed Nicholas Samuel Marino after the man broke into the home of Peterson and his wife, Janet, last week.
