Former premier has heart surgery

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi underwent successful surgery to correct an irregular heartbeat at a Cleveland hospital, his Forza Italia party said.
There has been intense media speculation in Italy that Berlusconi, 70, who collapsed at a rally late last month, would have to be fitted with a pacemaker.
