* Altria Group Inc., parent of the world’s largest cigarette business, said its fourth-quarter profit rose 18% on strong international tobacco results. Richmond, Va.-based Altria earned $2.29 billion, or $1.09 a share, up from $1.95 billion, or 94 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose 9% to $24.49 billion.

* Kellogg Co., the world’s largest cereal maker, reported a moderate increase in fourth-quarter profit as sales climbed in North America and Latin America but slowed in Europe and Asia. Net income was $192.4 million, or 47 cents a share, up from $186.4 million, or 45 cents, a year earlier.

* Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. shares fell 17% a day after it said fourth-quarter operating profit before some costs was about $238 million, less than analysts expected. The company’s shares fell $3.12 to $15.64.
