A new DeLay debacle
Re “DeLay Gets Coveted Committee Seat,” Feb. 9
Who in the Republican Party put Tom DeLay on the Appropriations Committee, and can’t they spell “Jack Abramoff”? More troubling is placing DeLay on the committee overseeing the Justice Department. Talk about putting the fox in charge of the henhouse! The Democrats may not be any more ethical than the Republicans, but this latest development is purely a Republican failure, and they should be held to account for it.
