Bruins Handle the Huskies, 83-75

Noelle Quinn had 23 points and nine assists Saturday to give UCLA its fifth win in six games, an 83-75 victory over Washington at Pauley Pavilion.

Quinn made 10 of 19 shots from the floor and also had eight rebounds.

Lisa Willis had 16 points and 12 rebounds and Lindsey Pluimer added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Bruins, 15-9 overall, 10-5 in the Pacific 10, who pulled within a half-game of the Huskies (16-7, 9-5) for third place in the conference race.

Washington is three games behind conference-leading Stanford and a game behind second-place Arizona State.

Cameo Hicks led the Huskies with 21 points, Andrea Plouffe scored 16 and Breanne Watson had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

USC 75, Washington State 67 -- Camille LeNoir had 21 points and eight assists, Eshaya Murphy had 22 points and six rebounds and the Trojans ended a two-game losing streak in USC’s last regular-season game ever at the Sports Arena.

The Trojans will begin playing in the new Galen Center next season.

LeNoir made eight of 12 shots from the floor and Murphy was nine of 15 to lead the Trojans (15-9, 9-6).

Washington State (7-16, 1-13) has lost 15 of 16 after starting the season 6-1. Keisha Moore led the Cougars with 18 points and a game-high eight rebounds, and Amanda DuRocher had 15 points.

Meghan Gnekow added 11 points for USC.
