No. 17 Georgetown Falls
Steve Novak led Marquette to a 57-51 victory over No. 17 Georgetown on Thursday night at Milwaukee.
The 6-foot-11 Novak made five of eight three-point shots and scored 19 points for the Golden Eagles, 17-8 overall, 7-5 Big East.
Darrel Owens of the Hoyas (17-6, 8-4) missed an off-balance three-point shot and Marquette clinched the victory with 20 seconds left when Novak made two free throws.
No. 13 Boston College 65, Miami 54 -- The Eagles (21-5, 8-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) usually rely on inside scoring, but they broke the game open by making five three-point baskets during a 27-4 run over a 10:13 stretch of the second half at Boston to get past the Hurricanes (14-11, 6-6).
