There’s Something So Familiar About This

Just saw the Miami Heat and Detroit Piston game, and it was most interesting to watch the last quarter.

Dwyane Wade scores Miami’s last 17 points, gets the final rebound, takes the ball downcourt and scores without passing it once. In fact, I didn’t see him pass much as soon as he went on his tear, which included no passes to Shaq, who I’m sure was: a) in position, b) ready to dominate like he always does (when he plays of course), c) aware that he should get the ball because it’s “his team,” d) thinking that he has a teammate who always wants to do what’s best for the team, which, of course, in his mind, means give the ball to him so he can get fouled and miss the free throws even though he always makes them when they count.
