Twenty-six miles across the sea, Santa Catalina Island is waiting for winter tourists, with some special deals for weekday visitors.
Catalina Express, which departs Long Beach, San Pedro and Dana Point for the island, is offering a $7.50 discount off regular fares through March 30. Travel must be Mondays through Thursdays. Coupons are required and are available at www.catalinaexpress.com.
