Inmate School Official to Quit
Randy L. Hale, a prison inmate elected to the Romoland School District board in November, has told family members he plans to resign next week, said his mother-in-law, Norma Elliott of Homeland.
Hale finished third in the race for three school board seats despite being imprisoned for parole violations. His release from state prison in Corcoran is scheduled Feb. 15. Hale’s rap sheet includes burglary, spousal abuse and methamphetamine possession.
The district has not received his official resignation, said its superintendent.
