FEMA Acting Director Is Sworn In as Chief
From Times Wire Reports
R. David Paulison promised “to make America proud” of FEMA as he was sworn in as chief of the agency that bore the brunt of the blame for the government’s sluggish response to Hurricane Katrina.
Paulison, acting director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency since September, was confirmed by the Senate on May 26.
