Give Yourself a Hand

Share

Saturday is World Juggling Day, when the nimble-handed among us get to gloat. Given our own dexterity--or lack thereof--we thought we’d seek expert advice. “Almost anybody can learn to juggle,” says Steve Gerdes of Orange Jugglers, a Fullerton club. “I’ve seen people get pretty good in an hour or so.” We remain skeptical. But between the job and family, we feel like we’re juggling anyway. As Elvis Costello, at right, (aka “The Little Hands of Concrete”) sings in “Welcome to the Working Week”: “Why d’you wanna be my friend when I feel like a juggler running out of hands?” Is there a Multi-Tasking Day, by chance?
