Carjacker Kills Sailor on Leave From Mideast

A Navy chief petty officer home on leave from the Middle East was fatally shot by a carjacker in Dallas three days before he was to report back for duty.
Kameron Pratt, 34, was parked in the driveway of his parents’ home when two men in a pickup pulled up next to his. One man, wielding a gun, ordered Pratt out of his truck before shooting him and stealing the vehicle, police said. No arrests had been made, authorities said.
