Pair Get Life for Killing Man Found in Freezer
A couple were sentenced in Greenville to life in prison for kidnapping and killing a businessman whose body was stored in a freezer after he was suffocated with duct tape.
A jury couldn’t decide whether the couple should face the death penalty, so a judge sentenced Jennifer Annette Holloway, 29, and David Edens, 36, to life without parole.
They were convicted of killing Jim Cockman, 71, by luring him from his home nearly two years ago on the premise of buying a vehicle he was selling. Prosecutors said the couple killed Cockman to steal his SUV, Rolex watch and money.
