Mistrial No. 2 in Gotti Racketeering Case
For the second time in as many trials, a federal jury could not reach a verdict on racketeering charges against John A. Gotti, the son of the late Gambino crime family boss. A mistrial was declared and the man called “Junior” headed for home on Long Island.

Prosecutors said they intended to try Gotti, 42, a third time, and U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin indicated she would set a new trial date Monday.
