Bombs and death

THE letter from David Shibley is so slanted that it needs to be answered [Calendar Letters, March 5].

The admiration for Kais Nashef and the sympathetic depiction of suicide bombers in his film “Paradise Now” totally ignores that thousands of innocent Israelis, many women and children, were killed by suicide bombers. Israel has a right to its state. The Palestinians were offered the same option and refused. Why should Israel be condemned for accepting the offer by the U.N.? Please, try to give equal time on this issue.
