A new five-member commission will help Riverside County officials choose sites for off-road-vehicle parks and advise them on the contentious issue of all-terrain vehicles, the Board of Supervisors decided unanimously Tuesday.

The unpaid commissioners will serve two-year terms and meet every other month, according to the county resolution.

Off-roading, which has pitted some area property owners against local riders, affects many county residents, said Supervisor Jeff Stone.
