The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq or who died at U.S. and German hospitals of their injuries:

Lonnie C. Allen Jr., 26, of Bellevue, Neb.; sergeant, Army. Allen was among four soldiers killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Armer N. Burkart, 26, of Rockville, Md.; specialist, Army. Burkart was killed May 11 when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 71st Cavalry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Jason K. Burnett, 20, of St. Cloud, Fla.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Burnett was among four Marines killed May 11 when their Abrams tank plunged off a bridge into a canal in Karmah, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Eric D. Clark, 22, of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; private first class, Army. Clark was one of two soldiers killed May 11 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Regiment, 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Adam C. Conboy, 21, of Philadelphia; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Conboy died May 12 of a nonhostile gunshot wound in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Nicholas R. Cournoyer, 25, of Gilmanton, N.H.; private first class, Army. Cournoyer was among four soldiers killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Grant A. Dampier, 25, of Merrill, Wis.; private first class, Army. Dampier was one of two soldiers killed Monday when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team at Ft. Carson, Colo.

John W. Engeman, 45, of East North Port, N.Y.; chief warrant officer fourth class, Army. Engeman was one of two soldiers killed May 14 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 312th Training Support Battalion, 4th Brigade, 78th Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Marion Flint Jr., 29, of Baltimore; staff sergeant, Army. Flint was one of two soldiers killed Monday when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team at Ft. Carson, Colo.

William B. Fulks, 23, of Culloden, W.Va.; corporal, Marine Corps. Fulks died Thursday at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio of injuries suffered in combat May 1 in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Ronald W. Gebur, 23, of Delavan, Ill.; specialist, Army. Gebur was killed May 13 when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

David J. Grames Sanchez, 22, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Grames Sanchez was among four Marines killed May 11 when their Abrams tank plunged off a bridge into a canal in Karmah, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Santiago M. Halsel, 32, of Bowling Green, Ky.; staff sergeant, Army. Halsel was killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near him while on foot patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Daniel E. Holland, 43, of San Antonio; lieutenant colonel, Army. Holland was among four soldiers killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 352nd Civil Affairs Command at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Richard Z. James, 20, of Seaford, Del.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. James was shot to death May 13 while on guard patrol in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Emmanuel L. Legaspi, 38, of Las Vegas; staff sergeant, Army. Legaspi was killed May 7 when his unit was attacked with small-arms fire in Tall Afar, near the Syrian border. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division in Friedberg, Germany.

Michael L. LiCalzi, 24, of Garden City, N.Y.; second lieutenant, Marine Corps. LiCalzi was among four Marines killed May 11 when their Abrams tank plunged off a bridge into a canal in Karmah, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Shane R. Mahaffee, 36, of Alexandria, Va.; captain, Army Reserve. Mahaffee died Monday in Ludwigshafen, Germany, of injuries suffered May 5 when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee in Hilla, south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 489th Civil Affairs Battalion, Army Reserve in Knoxville, Tenn.

Jose S. Marin Dominguez Jr., 22, of Liberal, Kan.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Marin Dominguez was one of two Marines killed May 14 when their Humvee struck a land mine in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Robert A. Seidel III, 23, of Gettysburg, Pa.; first lieutenant, Army. Seidel was among four soldiers killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Stephen P. Snowberger III, 18, of Lopez, Pa.; private first class, Army. Snowberger was one of two soldiers killed May 11 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Regiment, 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Brandon L. Teeters, 21, of Lafayette, La.; specialist, Army. Teeters died May 12 in Ludwigshafen, Germany, of injuries suffered April 20 when a roadside bomb exploded near his Bradley fighting vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 8th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Steve Vahaviolos, 21, of Airmont, N.Y.; corporal, Marine Corps. Vahaviolos was among four Marines killed May 11 when their Abrams tank plunged off a bridge into a canal in Karmah, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jamie D. Weeks, 47 of Daleville, Ala.; chief warrant officer fifth class, Army. Weeks was one of two soldiers killed May 14 when their helicopter was shot down in Yusufiya, southwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Matthew W. Worrel, 34, of Lewisville, Texas; major, Army. Worrel was one of two soldiers killed May 14 when their helicopter was shot down in Yusufiya, southwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Hatak Yuka Keyu M. Yearby, 21, of Overbrook, Okla.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Yearby was one of two Marines killed May 14 when their Humvee struck a land mine in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
