A store that likes returns

The 2-month-old Designers Views in West Hollywood has a pretty way of ensuring return business: an orchid club. Buy any of the potted plants, priced from $50 and arranged with mosses, dried manzanita, decorative rope and other artful accents. When the flower dies, bring the container back and get it repotted with a new bloom for a nominal fee, starting at $30 per orchid. Marketing manager Natalie Cadoch, whose family is a wholesale orchid grower, says they make no money on the service. It just encourages customers to reuse their containers and revisit the vast showroom, which is packed with eclectic furniture, fountains and other decor -- much of it grand in scale but modest in price. 1028 N.
