An English-language version of Ingmar Bergman’s official website went online this week.

The site, which includes thousands of photographs, video clips and texts about the famed film director and his work, was launched in Swedish in September.

Bergman, whose “Fanny and Alexander” won the 1983 Oscar for best foreign-language film, will turn 88 on July 14. He has stopped making films and retired from the stage. He lives on a small island in the Baltic Sea and seldom appears in public.

The website, www.ingmarbergman.se, is run by the Ingmar Bergman Foundation.

FINALLY

Not rolling: The Rolling Stones on Wednesday postponed the first 15 dates of their European tour, which had been scheduled to begin Saturday, to allow guitarist Keith Richards more time to recover from a head injury he suffered in Fiji on April 27.

Delayed release: “The Da Vinci Code” will be released in movie theaters across India on Friday -- one week late -- after the censor board and its distributor reached an agreement to display statements before and after the film saying that “the characters and incidents portrayed and the names herein are fictitious.”
